Neon Trees is an alternative rock band from the western US. The band was formed by Tyler Glenn. His father was a designer of neon signs, hence partially where the name of the group came. Tyler Glenn is on vocals and keyboards, Chris Allen is on guitar and vocals, Branden Campbell is on bass guitar and vocals and Elaine Bradley is on drums, percussion and vocals. The band was the opening act for the Killers on their 2008 tour. They are also planning to be the opening act for My Chemical Romance in their upcoming tour. The band is also notorious for doing cover songs such as Ben E. King's 'Stand By Me,' and Justin Bieber's 'Baby.' The group ws also featured on Daryl Hall's monthly internet concert and they performed some cover's of Hall and Oates songs. The Neon Trees beat out Mumford and Sons, Train and Linkin Park for alternative song of the year with their song 'Animal.'

Demi Lovato is a singer, songwriter and musician, and her real name is Demetria Devonne Lovato. She's known best for acting in 'Camp Rock' movies, as well as on the Disney Channel. She made various appearances on one of the Jonas' Brother movies, and also alongside Selena Gomez in the 'Princess Protection Program.' She also made a guest appearance on 'Grey's Anatomy.' Lovato had a nervous breakdown in 2010 and was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder after she dropped out of part of a tour with the Jonas Brothers when she punched one of the band mates. Most recently Lovato decided to focus on her music career when she released her third studio album last year called 'Unbroken.' Her hottest hit so far off her latest album 'Skyscraper' is the song Skyscraper which charted in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, and her newest song is ‘Give Your Heart a Break.'

Carly Rae is a Canadian artist from British Columbia. She started off on Canadian Idol in it's fifth season, placing 3rd, which put her in the concert tour. From there she released her debut album 'Tug of War' in 2008. Fast forward 3 years, she released her current single 'Call Me Maybe' which is currently at it's peak thus far on the Billboard Hot 100 charts at number 8, and has already peaked at number 1 on the Canadian Hot 100 charts. The single also made it to number 1 in Australia, Ireland and the U.K. This year, Carly Rae also signed a deal with Interscope Records. Flo Rida's real name is Tramar Dillard....(Come on, you HAD to be wondering with a cool stage name like 'Flo Rida!') He is a rapper...and his big claim to fame was 'Low' in 2008. His debut album was 'Mail on Sunday.' In 2009, his second album was released called R.O.O.T.S. and the biggest single released from that album was 'Right Round' which stayed at the top of the Hot 100 for 6 weeks. The next album that will be released will be 'Only One Rida (Part 2)' which the hit song 'Good Feeling' was released off of. It peaked at # 3 on the Hot 100 here in the U.S. but it also topped charts in Austria, Germany, Scotland, and the U.K. It also reached at least # 5 in nine different countries around the world!

Justin's was born in Canada, and he also acts and writes his own sings as well as performs them. He was discovered in 2008 by Scooter Braun off of YouTube. Justin was quickly set in arranged meeting with Usher in Atlanta, Georgia and was then signed to Raymond Braun Media Group. Justin also obtained the designation of Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards in 2010, and Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Artist at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony. Justin is also very firm in his religious beliefs and claims it is the reason he is here doing having the influence he has today. Justin came out with a film in 2011 called 'Never Say never' and also came out with a hit Christmas song called 'Mistletoe.' In February 2012 Justin announced his new single would be released very soon off his album 'Believe.' The song is called 'Boyfriend' and was released in late March (2012.) Karmin is actually a couple that are engaged to each other; Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan. They are best known for songs where they did covers, like for 'Party Rock Anthem' and 'Super Bass.' They were a big YouTube sensation before they came into the mainstream. FInally, they were able to strike up a record deal with Epic Records. One Direction is considered a British 'boy band' and is comprised of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. They're just getting started but have a promising future since their debut single was released 'What Makes You Beautiful.' Just after their debut single broke, their debut album was released 'Up All Night.' That album proved to be auccessful after it sold 176,000 copies in the first week which made history in the U.K. as the first group to have a debut album start right off at the number one position. The group Fun. is an Indie Pop band from New York City formed by Nate Ruess with Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff in 2008. They released several albums, including 'Aim and Ignite' in 2009 and 'Some Nights' earlier in 2012. His real name is Wouter 'Wally' De Backer and he is an international performer. Gotye (pronounced Go-te-yae) comes from 'Gaultier' which is Walter in French (or in Wouter in this case!) He is also part of a pop-trio from melbourne called 'The Basics' who have released 3 independent albums since 2002. Wouter was born in Belgium, and moved to Australia with his family at the young age of 2. Wouter also accredites Depech Mode and Kate Bush for inspiring him in his own music. While he was in his teens, he formed a group called 'Downstares' which disbanded after he graduated high school. Wouter had a house that became known as the 'Frat House' where friends would always be coming by and hanging out. One day, a big fan of the 'Downstares' group donated his late wife's entire record collection to Wouter, which further contributed to his inspiration and international success.

Well...he is Outasight! His real name is Richard Andrew and he is only one person! He's originally a rapper from Yonkers, NY and is best known for his song 'Tonight is the Night.' Richard grew up around music all through his younger years...and that was all he had to cling to as his family moved from apartment to apartment...since he didn't get a chance to make any true, bonified friends. He started writing and singing at 10 years old, and began really performing in 2007 at Hip Hop festivals, and some clubs. Cobra Starship is an Alternative Rock band composed of Gabe Saporta as lead vocalist, guitarist Ryland Blackinton, bassist Alex Suarez, drummer Nate Novarro, and keytarist Victoria Asher...and all the members provide background vocals to the group. They made their first big debut in 2009 with 'Hot Mess' and more recently 'Good Girls Go Bad.' Right now their new trending song is 'You Make Me Feel.' Interestingly...they issued a follow-up song to Katy Perry's 'I Kissed a Girl', called 'I Kissed a Guy' in 2008. Cobra Starship has also opened for Fall Out Boy, and performed with other bands like All Time Low and Metro Station. They also just released a tribute album to Buddy Holly, with their own cover version of 'Peggy Sue.'

David Guetta is officially a french house music producer and a DJ. David got his start being a night club DJ in the 80's and 90's and he later founded 'Gum Producutions' then released his first album 'Just a Little More Love' in 2002, followed by 'Guetta Blaster' in 2004 and finally 'Pop Life' in 2007. From there, Guetta started working with other artists like Akon, Kid Cudi, Kelly Rowland and LMFAO. He currently is the most frequently sought-after music producer. As far as his personal life - David has two children, and a wife. Most recently at the end of August, he released his fifth studio album 'Nothing but the Beat.' Her full name: Kelly Brianne Clarkson. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas and was inspired when she sang at a high school talent show and was told she had extreme talents...which made her persue her career in performing. She originally planned on being a Marine Biologist! She was the big winner in the first season of American Idol in 2002. Her first claim to fame was her song 'A Moment Like This' in 2003 which had the largest leap on the Billboard Hot 100 charts from number 52 to number one. Clarkson was also ranked number 14 in the line-up of artists from the year 2000 to 2010. She also obtained two Grammy Awards and one and three MTV music awards.

Dev was born in Tracy, California as Devin Star Tailes. Dev was discovered by The Cataracs when they sampled her material, and was also sampled in Far East Movement's 'Like a G6.' She released her first single in December 2010 called 'Bass Down Low' which did very well in the United Kingdom. Her debut album was set to be released November 1, 2011 but has been pushed back to January 10, 2011. The name of the album will be 'The Night the Sun Came Up.' Dev's style has been compared to Ke$ha since they both do what is called 'sing-talk.' She also has a very popular song here in the US called 'In the Dark.' As far as Dev's personal life - she announced online in September that she is pregnant and will be having a baby girl with her fiance Jimmy Gorecki.

Ellie is an English singer/songwriter and was born in Hereford, Herefordshire England. She was inspired by music from a very young age. She began playing the Clarinet when she was 9, and when she was 14 she began taking guitar lessons. She also studied Drama at the University of Kent. After two years there, she took a gap year to persue her singing career. Ellie is also the opening act for Katy Perry in her California Dreams tour. She replaced Jessie J due to a serious injury. Ellie has performed on many live stages through out the U.K. and her latest song 'Lights' can be heard here on 935SBG!

Foster the People is an Indie Pop band from Los Angeles composed of members: Mark Foster on vocals, keyboards, guitar and percussion, Mark Pontius on the drums and Cubbie Frank on bass and backing vocals. The band was originally named Foster & the People but it was misheard and it became Foster the People so they took the name and ran with it. They are most well known for their song 'Pumped Up Kicks' which has already climbed to number one on the Alternative charts and hit number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has been featured on various TV shows and commercials.

Selena Gomez and the scene was founded by none other than herself, Selena Gomez. She was also the star of Disney's 'Wizards of Waverly Place' and is responsible for the groups two platinum certified records 'Naturally' from 2009 and 'Who Says' from 2011, which you hear us playing on 935SBG!! Selena has had a very extensive history in TV and films, including most recently 'Ramona and Beezus' in 2010 with one of the two lead female roles. As far as Selena Gomez and the Scene goes, their success can only be attributed to the number of records that they sell each time a record debuts, which in sales averages between 60 and 70 thousand copies.
